James Layton has been curating children’s book packs for schools for over 30 years, sourcing the latest titles from all the best publishers.

It’s just so convenient for busy teachers and librarians!

How it works…

Twice a year James curates variety book packs across multiple genres.

You can choose from:
Picture books (Hardcover or Softcover)
Non-fiction (Hardcover or Softcover)
Fiction (YA, Middle Grade, Junior, Graphic Novels)
Manga (Primary or Teenage)
Big Books
Board Books

All packs are sent on a 21-day approval period, so you have time to make a thorough selection. At the end of the 21-day viewing period, simply use the Return Post label to send back the books you don't want to keep.

Prices vary per genre, but you can expect great prices no matter how many you keep.

To help us manage postage costs we have a minimum commitment of 4 books.

How to order a variety pack

Simply add the pack/s to the cart and select 'Invoice My School' in the checkout so you will bypass the payment gateway. We will send you the pack with a return post label, and instruction sheet. Easy peasy!

The images pictured on the website will be 'mostly’ accurate as to what's in the latest pack. (Everything moves fast at Larrikin House!) Click on the individual images to enlarge them.
