Description
Presenters: James Layton (Publisher) & Dani Vee (Author/ Publicist/ Acquisitions)
Before Larrikin open our submissions on 1 March, pitch your idea to the publishers and get real feedback.
The Pitch Party includes some or all of the following:
- Honest feedback
- Strategies to enhance the MS
- Big picture conceptual ideas
- Ideas to ensure your story is on brand
- How to hook your audience
- Enhancing your characters
- Discussion about subverting stereotypes
- Whether we think it would sell
You’ll have 5 minutes to pitch your idea for a picture book or junior fiction novel.
If James and Dani like your ideas, we may request that you join us for a Zoom brainstorming session OR ask to read the full manuscript.
Between 7pm - 7.15pm, James & Dani will take you through their thoughts on a great pitch.
You’ll be given a 5 minute time slot from 7.30-10.00pm to pitch your idea!
Once you’ve booked in your pitch, email Dani at: dani@larrikinhouse.com to lock in your time.
You will receive a Zoom link before the workshop.
