A city with an ancient heritage, London has developed into a centre of finance and commerce, with residents whose commitment to the arts has given it a vibrant theatre culture, and some of the world’s best museums and galleries. Located on both sides of the River Thames, London is the most multi ethnic place in the UK. From Buckingham Palace to The London Eye and Westminster, London has attractions that date from the ancient to the ultra-modern. The world’s great cities are more than just interesting places to visit. They are also centres of business, government and culture. While all big cities face similar challenges in providing services for their inhabitants, it is each city’s unique features that we want to explore if we are ever lucky enough to travel there.
